Welcome!

What started as a personal hobby interest moved to a full blown quest to make a useful and uber home automation system.  Unfortunately, I found many examples that just did not work as advertised.  I read post after post of far fetched ideas with photos that were just as bad. Why would anyone post a product that was not finished and in use?  Let's be honest - duck tape does not count as a finished product!

I settled on MySensors.org for the bones of the system, but was not interested in purchasing a Vera. Why buy into something that is not supported by the manufacturer?
As I have plenty of old computers laying around doing nothing I pulled out a laptop (2002 HP Laptop) and put it to work. I searched long and hard for software that would be easy to use and maintain.  I chose Domoticz and went to work. OpenHab is great, but again - why work so hard to make something so simple to work?  The good news here is that you can use any of my sensors with anything that supports MySensors output.

There are many other systems out there, and has its own place - but my mantra is:

"Why work hard at something that is supposed to be simple?"
